Northeast Michigan Breweries
When you visit a Michigan Brewery, you might find a "Pickaxe Blonde", a "Red Tulip", or a "Ring of Fire". The names of beers at a Michigan micro-brewery are as colorful as the places that craft them. From the pilsners of Copper Country to the ales of Flatrock, from the porters of Port Huron to the stouts of Grand Rapids, there is a great Michigan brewery nearby. So let us savor the fresh flavors. Let us imbibe the vibrant character. And let us have a little fun when we order by name. Because when having a beer means enjoying a brew at a Michigan micro-brewery, the taste is Pure Michigan.

Back in 2009 a few of us craft beer enthusiasts and history buffs from Cheboygan shared an idea. We dreamed of reestablishing a proud local brewery, one out of production since the wave of prohibition captured northern Michigan like it did the rest of the country. We imagined brewing fabulous beers that respected the heritage of the original recipes and brought time honored brewing techniques and a few brewmaster secrets to the table. We focused on the water.
We went after taste and created the following;
Lighthouse Amber, our German style Alt, has a brilliant amber hue.
Helles Bock, this German Style Blonde Bock is lighter in color than traditional Bock due to the absence of dark roasted malt, yet every bit as rich and malty.
Winter Marzen, brewed with 100% German Malt and Noble German Hops.
La Cerveza, brewed in the Mexican-Bohemian tradition, we use five different styles of malted barley with flaked maize and blended with noble German hops to impart a dry crisp character.
Oktoberfest, a gold medal winner, is orange in hue with a pronounced malt presence. Available in the Fall.
